More About Us

We support many organizations in our community, but two are close to our hearts.  Martha and Sister Mary have both served on the board of the local chapter of Mental Health America.  Martha occasionally organizes a yard sale to benefit MHA.  In past years, funds from this sale have supported local grants to improve understanding of mental illness.

We are also big fans of the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.  This museum is one of the hidden gems of Northwest Arkansas.  There are fascinating indoor exhibits, and there are also amazing historical buildings to explore.  (and admission is FREE!) In addition to the bricks and mortar museum, the museum does neat online programs, including a blog and podcasts of their educational programs.  Daisy Cooper’s husband Milton kept a journal for many years.  Our family has archived the journals at the museum, and in August, 2010, the museum did a program on the journals.  You can listen to it here:  Been a Busy Day: The Diaries of Milton Cooper
